Second Annual Conference on Public Intellectuals at Harvard University

Check out the program for what looks like an exciting conference. If only I had more travel funds.

  1. Ditto on this conference, as well as those travel funds. I wonder how many other colleagues are being severely hampered in their research and intellectual experiences due to the downturn? I’m sure some institutions and departments are immune, but… – TL

  2. Two cheers (at least) for the University of Oklahoma, which, while never having had huge amounts of money available for such things, has, so far at least, not seriously cut back on them since 2008.
